Mas Hori

Retired CA DHS FDB Investigator/Food Consultant


Mas Hori has over 27 years of experience in the food, pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetic industries in regulating these products for GMPs and HACCP. During his career, he has trained over 1600 individuals in HACCP for the seafood and food industries. He also is a Certified HACCP Auditor by the American Society for Quality. In 2004 he retired from the state of CA as a supervising Food and Drug Investigator in Southern California. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from California State University at Los Angeles. He will be discussing the issues and problems that HACCP has presented to the food industry. Bring along your questions/issues, or submit them electronically when registering for this event. Only persons that are registered will be admitted to this event, for Golden State Food's security purposes. Hope to see you there.

Good Manufacturing Practices For Guests

To maintain the highest possible standards at our food processing facility, all guests to our facility are required to adhere to established Good Manufacturing Practice Policies for dress and attire.All guests will be required to wear a hairnet and beard nets (where applicable). These will be provided to you here at gsf upon arrival.These nets must cover all hair, including beards or mustaches.Jewelry is not allowed, except for wedding bands with no gemstone.Wrist Watches must be removed.Outer pockets above the waist must be emptied.Shoes should be comfortable walking shoes with closed toes and heels. Women should not wear high heels. Slip resistant shoes are recommended.Smoking is not permitted in the facility. Eating, drinking or chewing gum is not allowed outside the conference room. There is a designated smoking area outside the building.Understanding and Cooperation is greatly appreciated.

D I R E C T I O N S
The following are directions to Golden State Foods located at 640 South Sixth Avenue in City of Industry.

From east of the facility, take the 60 or Pomona freeway to the Seventh Avenue exit.

After exiting the freeway, you must take an left turn at the light which is Gale Avenue and then a quick right turn on Seventh Avenue.

Turn right on Seventh Avenue and go north towards the mountains.

Go approximately one mile to Don Julian and turn left.

Go one block to Sixth Avenue and turn left.

The GSF facility is just beyond the large green lawn on the left.

From west of City of Industry, take the 60 or Pomona Freeway to the Seventh Avenue exit and go north.

Do not take the first Seventh Avenue exit, this only goes south.

Go approximately one mile north on Seventh Avenue to Don Julian Road.

Turn left on Don Julian Road. Go one block to Sixth Avenue and turn left.

The GSF facility is just beyond the large green lawn on the left.
