In this hyper competitive world, THE rule is, “The
Customer is only willing to pay for what adds value to
him.” So it is an absolute necessity to be able
to analyze a process and eliminate everything that does
not add value. Value Stream Mapping is the tool to record,
clarify and analyze the present state of a process and
plan the improved state. It captures both the qualitative
and quantitative state of a process. Once the improved
process is implemented, comparing the new Value Stream
Map to the previous map shows the reduction of process
time, floor space and inventory.
